A B O U T
Hi! I am Dasha, an actor and dancer based in New York City.
I was born and raised in post-Soviet Belarus in the family of doctors who loved and cherished theatre and movies. As a kid, I would dance and act anywhere I could: in front of my dad’s Panasonic VHS-C Camcoder, in the hallways, in the school’s changing rooms.
As an adult, dance and acting has become my temple - a place to surrender and be present, a place where I get to explore my humanity and connect with other people.
My recent movie credits include "Kevin's List" - a romantic comedy/drama that follows two lonely souls looking for connection; "Lady Lilith" - an independent short film about acceptance and letting go; and "Erase the Record" - an experimental movie that took inspiration from Ingmar Bergman and Tarkovsky.
When not acting, I get down at block parties, learn new dances or teach a beginner’s NewStyle Hustle dance class in Long Island City.
Fun fact about me: I choreographed 3 musicals and danced in 4 musicals in American University in Bulgaria: "Memphis", "All Shook Up", "Burlesque" and "Catch Me If You Can".
